Week of Oct. 18 - 22, 2021

Good afternoon AMAZING Grade 2 students and families,

Thank you for an excellent week in working so hard on your lessons AND in always PERSEVERING (trying your best just like, "The Little Engine Who Could").  While reading as a class and in our small Literacy Center groups, we are now learning how stories, although enjoyable, but how they teach us a life lesson (the Theme of the story, the Moral of the story).  In "The Little Engine That Could", it is allowing us to see how some things in life are challenging but that we can always keep trying and eventually we will succeed.  I have posted a video link to the story if you would like to explore it further!

Also, please remember that the Grade 2 students will be taking part in our upcoming Remembrance Day Assembly in November.  Please practice your O'Canada singing and sign language as we will try to film this for our assembly this upcoming Monday (as we will be in our Formal Uniforms).  Use the link provided on our Home Page, thank you for your continued support and effort =;)

Below are some pictures from some activities we took part in over the week.  Please take some time to share with your family and maybe you can teach them something new that you recently learned!  Have fun and thank you for trying your very best!
